Helen Wilson-Beevers has just joined the Northumberland Coast National Landscape team.

I’m thrilled to introduce myself, Helen Wilson-Beevers, as the new Communications Officer for the Northumberland Coast National Landscape. I will be responsible for all communications, spreading the word about protecting this treasured stretch of coastline. Excitingly, my new start also coincides with the recent rebrand, which sees this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty now being known as a National Landscape.

I’ve lived in Northumberland for most of my life and love raving about our beautiful region. My career so far has covered work as a writer and editor at national publications in the travel, news and lifestyle sections, as well as providing copywriting, social media and communications support for both small and large organisations.

From celebrating Bamburgh being named the best seaside town for the third year running to reviewing off-grid huts in the Northumbrian countryside, the articles I’ve been most proud of working on are those celebrating this castle-rich county. So, I feel well placed to follow in the footsteps of previous Communications Officer Caeley and continue her excellent work.

After growing up in Northumberland, I now live here with my own family and we enjoy all-season walks with our dog Ziggy, admiring the varied wildlife and finding new local spots to visit. Being lucky enough to see the northern lights last November, as well as the rare red streak phenomenon known as Steve, was an amazing example of how many natural gems the Northumberland coast offers us.

I look forward to bringing you all the latest Northumberland Coast National Landscape news and updates. In the meantime, please do get in touch with your own Northumberland coast stories, so that I can help share those too.
