A new free walking guide has just been published by Peregrini Lindisfarne and is available to download. This guide looks at the industrial past of Cocklawburn, a stunning beach and grass duneland at the northern end of the Northumberland Coast AONB.

The walk follows a short circular route of 2km across the dune grassland and then onto the beach, tide dependant. It touches on the fabulous geology visible on the beach and the WWII gun emplacement perched above Cheswick Black Rocks.

This free leaflet has been produced by the Peregrini Lindisfarne Landscape Partnership and the Northumberland Coast AONB. Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Peregrini Lindisfarne conservation projects between 2015 and 2019 included access improvements at Cocklawburn. The leaflet will be available from Tourist Information Centres at Berwick, Alnwick and Craster in the New Year.
