We’re delighted to have two new staff members aboard the Northumberland Coast AONB team!

Caeley Elcock joined us as Communications Officer in early January. The communications role is set to be a busy post, with an interesting mix of digital communications and meeting people who live in the AONB at live outreach events. Caeley’s background is in copywriting and social media management, so you can expect plenty of blog posts and social media content to read with your morning coffee! Caeley is hoping to get Coastal Views, our newsletter, sent to your inbox on a regular basis, too. If you haven’t already subscribed to Coastal Views, you can do so here. It’s where you’ll find all the latest information on what the Northumberland Coast AONB Partnership team have been up to, upcoming local events, and opportunities for you to get involved, like through the Coast Care volunteering initiative, or giving us valuable feedback via our surveys.

Meanwhile, back in December, Theresa Glynn started working as our Administration and Finance Officer. She supports the delivery of our Farming in Protected Landscapes programme, as well as the wider AONB team activity. Theresa comes with a wealth of knowledge about the Northumberland coast, and with an eclectic background in everything from university research grants to conservation, farming and arts and crafts networks, she brings a varied skillset to the post. Theresa can also be found manning the Seahouses tourist information centre and is an expert on the local area!

Both Theresa and Caeley are keen to make their roles community led. If you have an idea for a communications initiative, whether that’s more images of our stunning landscapes on Instagram, or you’d prefer a more regular edition of Coastal Views, you can let Caeley know at caeley.elcock@northumberland.gov.uk or get in touch with Theresa for more information about the AONB on theresa.glynn01@northumberland.gov.uk Remember, you can always give us a shout on our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram pages.
